avenue champs-elysees

the champs-elysees is one of the rays of the étoile (meaning star), which is the name of the circle where the arc de triomphe is located. it is supposed to be the 5th ave. of paris since it’s where most of the high-end shops are. we saw the huge louis vuitton store, but other than that i was kind of unimpressed. perhaps it was the winter weather that made everything so drab. we did only walk down one side of the avenue so maybe i need to do some more exploring. i didn’t take many photos. but i’m sure all be back again for the sales!*

huge sephora

doesn't this red headed woman look like julianne moore or an older ginny wealsey?

all they sell in france are sandwiches. i don't exactly hate it.

*for those who don’t know, french retailers are only allowed to have sales twice a year- in january and june. supposedly, it is not uncommon for french women to take off work in order to go shopping.
