berthillon

before i left for paris my sister gave me a book called stuff parisian like. if you have any interest in the french culture you should pick this up. anyway, in the book it mentioned a gelateria called berthillon that was supposed to have the best gelato in paris and is frequented by tourists and parisians alike. being the food lover i am, i knew i had to check out this place. it just so happens to be located on the ile saint louis- another place mentioned in the book for being the number one area where every parisian would choose to live if given the chance. gelato plus pretty buildings? i’m in.

 the actual berthillon store was closed that day, but luckily many restaurants in the area serve the gelato. i had heard the caramel beurre sel was amazing so i decided to get a scoop of that along with a scoop of dark chocolate on a waffle cone. oh my. delish. i must go back again. i don't care that it’s winter and too cold for gelato because it is so worth added chill.
