before entering the museum, we visited the cafe at le carrousel du louvre. it was filled with shops and various cuisine stations like french, italian, asian, greek, spanish, and moroccan. there was also a mccafé that was selling macarons, but i refused to buy my first macarons from mcdonalds. since i didn't want to spend 14€ on a dish, i decided to get my old favorite- a tomato, mozzarella, and pesto panini. even though it wasn't from a real boulangerie, i must say it was parfait. the espresso i had was also pretty good.
