my first macaron

so believe it or not (and despite the name of this blog) i have never had a french macaron before. i know. crazy. and for those who think i am talking about a macarOOn, i am not.

while it's my mission to go to ladurée and pierre hermé, our group stumbled upon la maison du chocolat on our visit to the louvre (more on that later. i.e. macarons are more important.) however, this is another popular chocolate shop i have heard of so i knew it wouldn't disappoint. and no it did not...
