so i branched out and got a colorful macaron. the filling in this was lighter, like a buttercream, and was just so-so. i really liked the cookie part though. however, i can’t say it tasted like pistachio. it just tasted…i don’t know…green. you know what i’m talking about. kind of like those italian cookies. in fact, these versions from the local bakeries just might some sort of hybrid macaron. either way, I love their chewy texture.
